Sanctuary Clinics Alumni:
You are Family!
Sanctuary Clinics Alumni: You are Family!
One of the unique aspects of treatment at Sanctuary Clinics is that we are a Christian community in which healing & recovery take place.
Many of our doctors, therapists and staff members stay on campus, in community, with our patients. Relationships are forged here which continue to offer encouragement and support even after our patients return home.
A growing family of Sanctuary Clinic Alumni provides ongoing support after your on-campus experience. Alumni groups meet throughout the week via technology, encouraging one another in establishing and strengthening our connections with ourselves, God, and others, offering ongoing resources for your journey to health and wholeness.
This continuity of care continues even after you’ve completed treatment through unlimited opportunities to join Sanctuary Clinic’s Alumni Community calls, scheduled frequently throughout the week. Assistance, support and encouragement for your journey … on your schedule.
How Important is Aftercare &
an Alumni Community?
How Important is Aftercare & an Alumni Community?
Like many serious chronic conditions, there is no easy cure for mental
illness, substance use disorders, or addiction. Relapse is always a
possibility. Effective treatment reduces symptoms, but aftercare is
vitally important to continuing progress.
Statistics tell us that where substance use is concerned, some 70% relapse
within the first 30 days of treatment. Of those who’ve maintained sobriety
for between 6 months and a year, some 60% relapse. Of those who’ve
maintained sobriety for 7 years, only 1% relapse.

Aftercare & Alumni Resources for Family Members & Loved Ones
At Sanctuary Clinics, we understand the importance of involving family in the healing process. When a loved one is in treatment and recovery, family members often ask: What can we do to help our loved one succeed when they come home? What should we be prepared for? How can we make sure our loved one has the greatest chance to succeed?
Developed in recognition of how important the role of family members is to the healing and recovery process, Sanctuary Clinics’ Weekly Alumni & Family Zoom Meeting calls welcome loved ones to the conversation. Together, we discuss and navigate the challenges our loved ones face in coming home and continuing their journey of health, wholeness, and hope.
