Beliefs

What are Sanctuary’s religious beliefs?

Here is our doctrinal (beliefs) statement.
We Believe:

  • The Bible to be inspired and the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
  • Salvation of the lost and sinful man is by God’s grace through one’s faith in Christ alone and Christ’s atoning death for our sins. Only this can reconcile us to God the Father.
  • In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto eternal reconciliation with God and they that are lost unto eternal damnation.
  • In the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
  • In the efficacy of Christian Community as expressed in the Book of Acts.

Do you have to be a Christian to be admitted to Sanctuary?

At Sanctuary, we recognize that people are healed and lives are transformed in the presence of God. As such, Sanctuary takes a Christ-Centered, Bible-Based, holistic approach to healing which treats the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.

You do not need to be a Christian to be admitted. We help people from all religious backgrounds grow spiritually as a part of their treatment journey. However, we believe Jesus when he said, “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Recognizing that all truth is God’s truth, our team of licensed and experienced professionals employ the very latest in neuroscience, mental and behavioral health research, and evidence-based therapies.

Treatment & Care

Do you provide any scholarships or financial aid?

We recognize that the costs of accessing professional treatment from licensed and experienced clinicians is prohibitive for many. As a non-profit organization, and thanks to the generosity of several caring Christian donors, subsidies and financial assistance are available, making the highest quality care both affordable and accessible to ALL. Sanctuary is the most affordable self-pay inpatient treatment program in the United States.

If I require mental stabilization before my treatment can begin, is Sanctuary equipped to handle this?

Depending on the acuteness of a patient’s needs, we are able to facilitate most mental health stabilization and detox care as necessary.

If I require medically supervised detox or withdrawal during my treatment, is Sanctuary equipped to handle this?

Yes, absolutely! We provide a safe and comfortable detox, right here on campus.
