The Christine Needham Center for Trauma Training & Research
At Sanctuary Clinics Monticello, Master’s-level interns in social work, counseling, and marriage and family therapy gain far more than clinical hours—they become part of a thriving, Christ-centered healing community. Through our trauma-informed Intensive Training Program, interns receive hands-on experience delivering evidence-based, faith-integrated care under the mentorship of seasoned clinicians. In addition to rich clinical exposure, interns have opportunities to contribute to peer-reviewed journal articles, case studies, and blog content—actively shaping the conversation around trauma treatment and Christian mental health. With a strong emphasis on professional development, research, and spiritual integration, this immersive internship equips the next generation of trauma practitioners to lead with both competence and compassion.
