A 9-month work therapy, job-mentoring, and discipleship program for patients at Sanctuary Clinics seeking a new lease on life.

Sanctuary Clinics’ Work and Therapy Program (SWAT) is a work-focused, therapeutic opportunity for patients to serve in various capacities on campus related to the ongoing life, work, and ministry of the Sanctuary Community.
Work-Focused Therapy Works!
The benefits of work therapy include:

In Sanctuary Clinics’ SWAT Program, patients are:
- Learning new skills and adapting to new environments
- Developing healthy coping mechanisms to deal with emotional problems
- Learning and practicing life management skills
- Addressing work-related problems in their lives and learning how to get back on the job
- Improving their mental health and returning to work sooner
- Increasing their self-efficacy and confidence in their ability to perform certain behaviors
- Some have found their way into new career fields as a result of their work-therapy experience
- Some have found long-term employment opportunities with Sanctuary Clinics
“Our SWAT Program offers several benefits for people managing mental health and life challenges. It provides structure and routine which can help reduce anxiety and depression symptoms. You’ll be engaging in meaningful work, developing a sense of purpose and improving your self-confidence. You’ll be learning and applying social skills, interacting and collaborating with others in a workplace environment, and practical skills that can translate into improved employability and even career opportunities moving forward. SWAT is a pathway to recovery and greater overall mental well-being.”
